Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Student Project Development Officer) in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 532627) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefit scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering-related discipline along with some relevant work experience. They should be proficient in either robotics, GenAI or IoT-related application development and can design and deploy the applications independently. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are required. Applicants should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Enthusiasm in working with undergraduate students and experience in developing and supervising undergraduate student projects and managing maker spaces will be an advantage.

The appointee will support the operation of the Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing in the Faculty of Engineering. Moreover, he/she will actively engage with undergraduate student projects, providing technical guidance to undergraduates in the areas including robotics, AI or IoT development, and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Innovation Wing.
