Assistant Director, Development and Alumni (Mainland Affairs) (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 532592) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
 
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years’ full-time work experience in alumni affairs, institutional advancement, communications or public relations, preferably with experience in higher education institutions.  They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good organisational, communication, project management and problem-solving skills with a high level of computer proficiency.  They must be able to work independently and under pressure.
 
The appointee will support the Faculty’s Development and Alumni Team in formulating strategies and monitoring operations for alumni relations development in alignment with the School’s strategic goals. She/he is expected to coordinate an array of activities, services and communication platforms for strengthening alumni affinity; develop collaborative relationship with alumni bodies in the mainland. The appointee will also help design, develop and implement comprehensive engagement strategy and programmes that strengthen relationships with donors, alumni and other stakeholders; establish fundraising strategies and take an active role in cultivating and soliciting major donors to achieve development-related goals. The role may require working outside regular office hours and frequent travel. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
 
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
