Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.:531983), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability. 

Applicants should possess (i) a Ph.D. degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Reproductive Biology, or a related discipline, with good experiences in molecular biology and cell biology techniques. (ii) expertise in generation and use of genetically modified mouse models (including knockout mice and knock-in mice) is required. (iii) relevant post-doctoral training in Reproductive Biology; (iv) proven expertise in the study of germ cell development, and experiences in basic research and/or related translational studies of germ cell development are required; (v) a strong track record of publishing high-quality research articles. 

The appointee is expected to work independently as well as with other team members; manage on-going research projects on molecular and cellular mechanisms of germ cell development; publish original research articles and review articles in high-impact journals; and secure competitive external grants.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
