Student Advising Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Student Engagement and Leadership of Centre of Development and Resources for Students (Ref.: 537052) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary/ Renewal of contract is subject to the availability of project funding and mutual agreement.).
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' relevant post qualification experience. They should have excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua; and proficiency in IT skills; strong passion for working with students; excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills; ability to work independently. Experience in engaging student bodies and programs management would be an advantage.
The appointee will
- Support the planning, administration, implementation and evaluation of CEDARS-LEAF student leadership development programmes and assist in the review of related university guidelines, regulations and documentation;
- Oversee the operation and content management of HKU SOConnect, including event listing coordination, platform updates, user support, and enhancement of the student experience;
- Liaise with student societies, student leaders, hall/college representatives, and University units on matters relating to leadership development and student activities.
- Coordinate student-facing and campus-wide programmes and initiatives that promote students’ holistic development and foster a vibrant campus life experience; and
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
