Full-time Teaching Assistant in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 536697) (to commence on August 15, 2026 for 2 years on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Chinese Language, Linguistics, Social Science, Psychology, Cognitive Science or a related discipline. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in Cantonese), and good computer skills and Chinese computer operations. The applicants should have good interpersonal and organisational skills; and the ability to work independently and as a team. Preference will be given to those who have experience in teaching and working with primary students, designing learning and teaching materials, and assisting in curriculum development.
The appointee will work on a cross-institutional project dedicated to supporting primary students in Hong Kong to learn Chinese, and to enhance their use of Chinese as a medium of learning. He/She will provide support to the development of learning and teaching materials for primary school students, liaising with other project partners to teach after-school tutorials and experiential activities, assist in running professional development workshops for teachers, visit schools and meet with teachers regularly, and coordinate sharing among project schools and other professional dissemination activities; and other duties as assigned by supervisor(s). A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary.
