Technical Officer in LKS Cryo-EM Laboratory of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 536523) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is an academic research-support centre embracing multi-omics and big data biomedical research under the LKS Faculty of Medicine. The Role

  • Maintenance of state-of-the-art scientific equipment
  • Provision of user training and technical advice to support research
  • Development and implementation of standard operation protocols
  • Organization of technical seminars, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events
  • Administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Physics, or a related discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience in CryoEM sample preparation or TEM/SEM equipment operation.
  • Working experience in an electron microscopy core facility with strong analytical and problem-solving skills is a definite advantage
  • Strong passion in science and technologies
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning
  • Strong teamwork with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
