Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Mathematics (Ref.: 534661)
(to commence on July 1, 2026 for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related disciplines. They should possess basic knowledge in university level mathematics (such as multivariable calculus and linear algebra), have a strong command of English, a high level of responsibility, and attention to details. Proficiency in time management and organizational skills is essential. Applicants are also expected to possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and be able to multitask and work independently.
The appointee will assist the supervisor in a number of teaching development projects. Depending on the expertise, the appointee may be assigned to work on different tasks such as organization of events, design and production of interactive teaching materials (like cartoons, animations or games) with or without programming/AI tools, conducting research on the effectiveness of different teaching approaches, as well as general administrative support. Previous experience with (some of) the above types of tasks will be an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a portfolio demonstrating their work and/or attend an interview.
