Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 534356) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year/three-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree, with at least 4 years’ work experience, preferably in finance administration within a tertiary institution, public/quasi-public organization, or a related sector. They should have a strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese), along with high levels of communication, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills, as well as a good level of IT knowledge and the ability to work independently.  They should also be good team players and fast learners with the ability to handle multi-tasks under tight deadlines. Attention to detail, accuracy in their work, and leadership ability are also expected.

The appointee will provide executive support and coordination in department's finance administration and manage various finance-related responsibilities.  He/She will also handle daily office operations and perform ad-hoc or non-routine tasks as required, with occasional work outside regular office hours. Supervising clerical staff members to deliver high-quality service is expected. Work outside normal office hours may be required occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
