Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant) in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534271) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years’ work experience, preferably in tertiary institution. Candidates with substantial relevant work experience but without a degree will also be considered. Hands-on experience in academic programme administration and collaborating with IT teams on implementation of relevant online systems (e.g. student admission systems, course enrolment systems etc.) would be a distinct advantage. They should have a good command of written and spoken English, high proficiency in MS Office applications, strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask and work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines. They should be self-motivated, highly adaptable to work adjustments and changes in policies and procedures, attentive to details and a good team player.
The appointee will assist in the administration of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including but not limited to admission, course enrollment, examinations, thesis processing and programme revamp initiatives. He/she will also provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to academic professoriates, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written/trade test and an interview.
