Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref: 534257), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a M.Phil or Master’s degree, in biological science, biomedical sciences, bioinformatics or related disciplines. Experience in laboratory work, molecular biology and bioinformatics analysis would be a strong advantage. The appointee will participate in research projects related to bone and soft tissue pathology. He/She will handle clinical samples (e.g. FFPE tissue, blood), perform DNA/RNA extractions, library preparation for next generation sequencing, sample preparation for scRNA-seq and/or biomedical data analysis. They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese); and good communication and interpersonal skills.
