Senior Research Assistant/ Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534115) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in psychology, social science, or any healthcare-related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ work experience in research and administration; or a Master’s degree with 1 year’s post-qualification experience; or a PhD degree. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to collaborate with external parties including academics and social service groups. They should also have a strong quantitative background, relevant experience in conducting and managing community research and clinical studies, and demonstrated expertise in the analysis of large and complex datasets. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I/II.

The appointee will gain the chance to participate in the team’s various mental health initiatives, such as a large-scale multidisciplinary research project on youth mental health, or a long term follow up study of psychosis patients.

The appointee will manage the evaluation component of one of the team’s projects.  He/She will perform data analysis and prepare reports, presentations and academic papers; train and supervise junior research staff; and perform other duties as assigned.
