Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Research Assistant/ Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 533738), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, with a strong research focus and at least three year’s post-qualification experience or a Master’s degree in the above fields with one year’s post-qualification experience. They should demonstrate:
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese)
- Competency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis
- Proficiency in software applications such as NVivo, R, SPSS, and STATA
- Knowledge and experience in mixed research methods (highly preferred)
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities, including programme evaluation, literature review, data collection, data analysis, report drafting, and other assigned duties. The position offers ample opportunities to collaborate with social workers, multidisciplinary professionals, and community stakeholders.
Those with lower qualifications and / or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I or II.
