Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology (Ref.: 530885), to commence as soon as possible for one year.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the Social Sciences, Social Epidemiology or Public Health, or related disciplines. Experience in conducting demographic research; with good research record on the social determinants of health among older adults, with particular expertise on disability and housing, would be an advantage. Applicants should have a high level of competency in using statistical software packages with evidence of working collaboratively across organisational boundaries and with other disciplines. They should have good knowledge of data harmonization and statistical analysis and research experience in handling longitudinal data analysis. Proficiency in written English; excellence in management and statistical skills; ability to work independently.
The appointees will assist in planning, managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities on the research projects; oversee data collection, data analysis and draft reports, perform any other relevant tasks as assigned, publication and collaborative research opportunities are available.
